Six Foot Truck Marathon Blue Mountains

| The Six Foot Track is a 45km footpath stretching across the Blue Mountains from The Explorer's Marked Tree, near Katoomba to Jenolan Caves. The marathon started in 1984 and follows the length of the entire footpath. It is Australia's 5th largest marathon and by far the largest 100% off-road running event. 25th Anniversary CelebrationThe Upper Blue Mountains Bushwalking Club is proud to announce that it will celebrate 25 years of continuous activity next year. Many local residents and visitors have enjoyed the great outdoors with the club over the years. The first programmed bushwalk was on Sunday 9th March, 1986 and visited Porter's Pass and Centennial Glen at Blackheath.A 25th Anniversary celebration is being planned for Sunday March 13th, 2011. It will consist of a morning bushwalk to Porter's Pass and Centennial Glen followed by a casual lunch at the New Ivanhoe Hotel in Blackheath. All present, past and potential members are invited to attend the day's activities.
